” Well, here at Performance Machine, we felt the same way about the tech information pages on our website. So our tech crew rolled up its sleeves and dug in. We replaced old install sheets with new information and added a dozen or so new instruction sheets to the website. We’re talking a total facelift here. Update city. For instance, instead of just a general “caliper” category, the install sheets were broken out, with separate instructions for front calipers and another set for rear calipers. According to the conventional wisdom, countries such as India could never develop by their own efforts within a market system, as the currently developed countries had done. India and China got the message, shifted away from centralized planning in the direction of markets, and began to get less poor. Problem solved? Not exactly. As poor and hungry people get less poor, they get less hungry.

With enough food to survive no longer a problem, some of them get fat.

Voila—the growth of global obesity. Mine was busy and extremely exhausting. It occured to me - and one of you pointed it out! - that in my post on how God feels about being God, I talked a lot about the Father and Son's delight in each other, but not much about the Holy Spirit. It is with great pleasure that I announce the publication of the third book in a series of non-fiction books by nurses, released under the auspices of Kaplan Publishing. "Final Moments: Nurses' Stories About Death and Dying" is a moving collection of stories by nurses, all focused on issues of mortality. It is an honor to have my chapter, "A Nurse's Recovery From Grief", included in this stellar collection. Earlier this year, the first book in the series, "Reflections on Doctors: Nurses' Stories About Physicians and Surgeons", was released to great fanfare, and I was honored to provide a chapter for that collection, as well as to appear on a number of radio broadcasts promoting its publication. The writing should have a beginning , a middle and end that are all written in the same style. Proofread carefully. Remember the paper must be two pages. The voting period starts Dec. All in all, a great experience!I promised durio I’ll share the practicality of the things I’ve learnt from the book. I’ll try to put most of the practical advice towards investing and finance, but I stressed that the advice is equally applicable for the broader aspects of life. After all, life is much more than just the financial aspects. It's just one more way that I can incorporate creativity into my daily schedule! Once in a while I like to share a little peek into my Instagram photos. If you don't already follow me- head on over to my account- my user name is alisakburke- I share all kinds of fun things from our everyday life. I love the wonderful applications for altering and editing photos- I am constantly taking pictures and editing on the go and I couldn't live without some of these simple apps! Here are my top four applications that I use everyday- Snapseed is my favorite application to use for editing my photos- its SUPER simple and there are all kinds of amazing effects to easily enhance your photos. I use Whitagram all the time to add a white background to my Instragram photos. Since Instagram photos are in a square format it can be tricky to use your original photos without cropping. Using Whitagram enables you to share your photos in the full format. Afterglow is the latest editing application to sweep through Instragram and I must say that it is one of my favorites. Like Snapseed it is really easy to use and has all kinds of fun filters and effects. There are all kinds of timer applications out there but I like Camera Timer- its SIMPLE! I am excited to be kicking off the tour with an insider's guide to Marit's first stop and my hometown: New York City. I have pulled together a long list of must-see and must-do locations and activities for every artist and art lover that visits NYC. Most of these are off the beaten track suggestions that you might not find in every traditional guidebook. Folks, I know that I've not updated this blog in quite some time. I began to formulate a new approach to my own discovery process, as well as formulating a new approach to collecting and presenting data related to this fascinating phenomenon. I'll post more on all of that later. Special items are beginning to make their appearance in the patio and parking area out front. It's Karen Letchworth here today to share a couple of sweet little Christmas projects with you all using some AWESOME Really Reasonable Ribbon products. First, I made a card with some non-traditional Christmas colors.

My card has a nice big bow at the top right that was made using Rose Petal Seam Binding and Moss Green Seam Binding.

I also placed a pink button in the center of the bow, and added in some Green Solid Baker's Twine. One of my favorite gift-giving "go-to" ideas is gift cards. One size ALWAYS fits all, right? I love using the sweet little Decorative Bags for this purpose, and the store is FULL of great decorative bags for tucking in a gift card. For this project, I used an adorable Kraft Polka Dot Bitty Bag. Hello, crafty peeps! I've got a project FULL of ribbon for you today! As I sat thinking about today's project, I knew that I wanted to use ribbon in a non-traditional way. I finally decided on replacing my beloved Designer Paper with ribbon strips, and make my own background. I think it's a wonderful and effective way to use these neglected ribbon scraps! Check it out:I used two lengths of Satin with Grosgrain Edge Light Blue ribbon, two of Jade Grosgrain, one Wired Woven Check Red and One Double Ruffles Red, and finished with a bow made out of Baker's Twine Aqua. I stamped the sentiment on ribbon too - you've got to be careful with satin though and not press the stamp too hard against it, for the ink may bleed. I hope you like it! Have a happy Monday,Iwona.
